e-Procurement

        A professional approach is being adopted in implementing eProcurement in the State of Chhattisagarh. eProcurement will provide the State with complete automation of procurement cycle from cradle to grave which includes proposal preparation, online approvals, online bid submission, online signing of Agreement, online measurement book, ePayment and a comprehensive MIS on procurement activities. The system would encourage healthy bidding on an online mode resulting in increase in bid numbers, reduction in bid value and procurement cycle time. The vision of eProcurement approach is to enhance efficiency and transparency in public procurement. The State aims to implement a single, unitary and end-to-end eProcurement solution across the State on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) model. The project has been impleemented in five pilot departments viz., Public Works Department, Water Resources Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Health Department and Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation. The system would be subsequently rolled out to all the departments statewide in a span of 3-5 years.

       The Project has been inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister on 14th August 2007.
